Welcome To Our 2008 Tape Study Group

We would like to invite all Infinite Way students interested in studying exclusively with Joel's materials, to join our new tape group activity beginning in January 2008.   You may decide to do this study independently or participate in any way that appeals to you as the work unfolds. 

Ideally, we would like to unite in consciousness. This means that the students in this group will be one with Joel as the teacher rather than any others who do not agree with the Letter to Norman requests.  It would also be helpful to the students to come together in person for a class on meditation. 

It is important to remember that each teacher has an individual consciousness, at an individual level of development. To date, I have not found one to match the consciousness of Joel.  In the Infinite Way it is important for the student to take firm control of their own study. Students need to consider if they want only the healings and "things" of this message, or do they want the mystical principles. If it is a matter of learning the principles, then the student need s to decide with whom they want to work. They may have to give up other teachings and other teachers.   Moving from one person/lecturer to another is interesting, perhaps amusing.  Combining metaphysical and IW paths may feel like we are studying the same truth, but it does not help our progress. To have a teacher, we must make a commitment and follow that person, trust them and form a bond. The teacher must be able to impart the mystical experience.   Joel is the ultimate teacher in our group and those who work with people who do not hold Joel close with esteem and respect, may experience deep conflicts. We cannot serve two masters.   Those wishing to study in our group, but face the pull of other teachers or teachings, may need added support.  Should anyone need help with such a decision, please write for personal help to  cciwcc@gmail.com 

Please contact us by leaving your name or email address at cciwcc@gmail.com  and we will be in touch with you on the details. You will be asked to buy or borrow the tapes for 1963-64.  We hope that by studying one tape per week, in order, you can begin with a few tapes and add as we move along.   Please get a catalogue from the office and put the tapes on your `calendar.  Join the group consciousness in meditation before and after each tape. You may also tap into this community in consciousness if you need healing help throughout the week. You will be joining a spiritual household, even if you are completely on your own.

Each year, as we finish a set,  we will begin a new year in reverse order. So, if you like the format, we can continue this for as long as there is an interest.

In addition to studying Joel's last year of teaching, his highest lessons, we will teach meditation, healing, and the Circle of Christhood meditation.  Throughout the year we will practice the principles and show all students the basic principles and assist you in learning to live them.

To prepare for this study, please listen to the 1955 Kailua tapes and the 1959 Hawaiian Healing tapes (or the outline on this site, Hawaiian Healing Outline which is absolutely unedited Joel. The Foundation of Mysticism is highly edited and no longer recommended). These tapes will lay the foundation for the work. If you do not already use the Protective Work lesson found on 1960 Denver Closed Class, you will also need that tape.

Plan on one tape per week.  It is recommended that every student begin any tape work by first listening to the 1955 Kailua series beginning with tape 110.  This is the foundational work Joel recommends and says we never outgrow. You will use these tapes for your entire lifetime as you progress on the path.

We would like to include all teachers, practitioners, new students in The Infinite Way who are willing to devote their study of the Infinite Way to using Joel's materials exclusively.  Our preference will always be to hear Joel as he gave his lesson, that is, the tapes.

In order to help students around the world, we would like to ask you to consider hosting a tape group in your area. If you are unable to buy the tapes, we will do all we can to find tapes to loan those students willing to host others. As those who come to your tape group leave gratitude offerings, you will begin to have the funds necessary for new tapes. (Usually we leave several dollars, those who are able often give $5 or more per week.)  Soon ordering the tapes should no longer be a challenge. The tapes remain the property of the tape group leader and we have instructions here for those new to the work.  Basically, if you feel the call for this activity, you just offer a location for about 90 minutes a week - 15 minute opening and closing meditations and the 60 minute tape.  After the tape, the group dismisses in silence.

There may be an opportunity for several classes during the year where we can all get together for several days or a week of intense tape and meditation study. This will unfold as we go forward.  (Please see below.)

You may want to keep a journal for your questions and personal notes, experiences or understandings. This is private and for your eyes only. Communicating to ourselves in this way sometimes helps the normal feelings of loneliness we have studying on our own and allows us to move from the emotional to the logical side of our brain. As our consciousness unfolds, it is nice to see our progress.  This is not a requirement, but a suggestion for those who may like to journal.
