It is with utmost seriousness that we urge all Infinite Way students to avoid this site, and strongly advise that you not register here or use the student list. 

It is understandable to want to find friends on our path.  However, The Infinite Way requires us to give up all dependencies that we have come to know in the world, friends, companionship, discussion, socializing.  We do not  "need" friends or those of "like mind".  We need to meditate and find the Companion within who will guide and direct, teach and counsel us. 

When considering a teacher, be very careful with whom you align your soul. The teacher relationship is more sacred than marriage. It is one of trust and commitment. Do not enter lightly into such a bond and thoroughly research anyone claiming to be a teacher.

Look within, not without for strength, comfort and fulfillment. Only then will "your own" come to you.  You do not need to seek it. Grace will guide you.

"Stand ye still, and see the salvation of the Lord."

Please avoid this list if you are looking for teachers. There are a number of people who are listed on another page here, The Disobedient. Each student is urged to use caution, meditate for guidance, use common sense and your intellect in any quest to find a teacher or practitioner. I hope that the following guidelines serve to help you.

• IW Teachers do not seek students.(Joel says simple announcements are fine, but no advertising for those seeking healing.)
• IW Teachers are invited to teach.
• IW Teachers heal.
• IW Teachers meditate and can teach meditation.
• IW Teachers only use Joel's personal tapes and books in teaching you.*
• IW Teachers should be able to impart the Nature of Error, Nature of Prayer, Nature of God and all other principles to you.
• IW Teachers do not mix teachings.
• IW Teachers do not practice mental metaphysics: e.g. astrology, numerology, hypnotism, Reiki, A Course in Miracles, Kabbalah, Agape, Religious Science, Christian Science, guided meditation, music therapy, psychotherapy, etc.**
• IW Teachers do not have ordination or titles like Reverand, Father, Brother, Doctor of Divinity, etc.
• IW Teachers do not promote Lorraine Sinkler, Virginia Stephenson and family, or any other person who claims to be teaching Infinite Way but without regard to Joel's instructions.

Ask prospective teachers if they own Joel's tapes, have conducted tape group? How many tapes do they own? How long have they been studying the work? Who was their teacher? (You will then know if they were taught to ignore or excuse  the Letter to Norman.)

Finally, as with any spiritual guide you entrust your soul to, be sure they are of the highest human integrity and behave in a way you can respect and support. A spiritual teacher does not seek your money, your company, your person, your companionship, your love or your dependence. At all times, you are free. You should never feel controlled or manipulated.

Check names on the website as we have.

Joel did!!! In all honestly I spend most of my nights and days with A Course in Miracles, another Jesus based form of Christian Mysticism..."

 

 

* Again, this is Joel's instruction to TEACHERS while teaching. This does not mean he/we are asking anyone not read anything but Infinite Way.  This must be clear. We are not controlling what students read or study.  We are making a rule for a TEACHER.

** This is not to say any other religion cannot incorporate Joel's Infinite Way principles into their work. (Joel mentions on tape how he hoped that this would, indeed, happen.) We are saying that the opposite is not possible. We cannot be Infinite Way students and teachers and still have a foot in another religion or metaphysical practice. We will get nowhere in The Infinite Way.
