Bertus Rabe - Europe

Bertus Rabe is a student of Lorraine Sinkler and defends her at the expense of Joel and The InfiniteWay principles.  Please be cautious with this site and its lessons.

At one time, Bertus Rabe translated The Infinite Way Monthly Letter into four European languages with the permission of Emma Goldsmith. However, he has begun to take enormous liberties with the tapes and writings of Joel.

Today, a student will find quotes extracted from original works designed to support Lorraine Sinkler's battle cry of "freedom."  "Freedom" was used to justify Lorraine's distribution of Horizons in Consciousness.  "Freedom" also is the excuse given for ignoring the Norman Letter.

The contention by Lorraine that she is teaching and following the principles of The Infinite Way in accordance with Joel's philosophy is erroneous.  The fact that she sells tapes of her lectures and represents them to be The Infinite Way principles is directly against Joel's teachings as set forth in his letter to a student in New Zealand on April 10, 1964, a copy of which letter is attached as Exhibit J, and his letter dated January 27, 1964, a copy of which is attached as Exhibit K.  That Lorraine is entitled to teach her philosophy is not disputed, but where it differs from the principles of The Infinite Way as taught by Joel S. Goldsmith, it should not be represented as Joel's message or as being sponsored by The Infinite Way.  Her version of "freedom" is not in accord with Joel's version which is set forth in a brochure distributed by The Infinite Way offices and prepared from Joel's tapes, copy of which is attached as Exhibit L

He splices parts of Joel's tapes together to change Joel's intent and consciousness.  It is editing. But, as Sinkler was his teacher and guru, we see how Rabe could become so mistaken. (Again, please see page here, Editing Sinkler Horizons.)


Lorraine Sinkler's Erroneous Teaching

Bertus writes the following about healing, referencing The July 1974 Monthly Letter written by Lorraine Sinkler:

"Please to not think that "healing" is something that happens just like that. Except a few really blessed people, it will take years and years of study, meditation, prayer, practice, impersonalize, re-interprete appearances, nothingnize, etc.  If you have a headache and you think: I just sit down, turn myself to God and ... away is the headache: you are fooling yourself."

CC and the practioners taught by CC all have experienced and witnessed instantaneous healings. Let us assure you all that this is not a true statement nor one that reflects the message of The Infinite Way.

Anyone who has experienced the God Contact and understands The Nature of Error can heal. The tapes are full of stories of instantaneous healings of students. (Remember the early days when the "girls" taking the bus or eating in a diner after class healed men who were intoxicated without them even asking?) 

Again, if Bertus had studied Joel's tapes rather than Lorraine's he would not be able to make such a false statement. It is, indeed, sad that our healing message has degenerated so far, so fast.
