Circle of Christhood

Why do you think human sacrifices began?  As recently as Hebrew Scripture, one of the prophets was ready to sacrifice his own son.  Then came animal sacrifices, then sacrifices of crops, then money sacrificed to the church.  We have gotten along beautifully without sacrificing human lives or animals or crops or money.  If you are giving us money thinking it is "buying you a place in heaven," keep it and save it.  Anything that comes to us should come as pure gratitude because there is no reward except that of sharing and the reward of inner joy.
