Joel was led to record his lectures and classes by the counsel of Emma Goldsmith. Thanks to Emma, all of the lectures (containing the highest content of Joel's illumined consciousness) which Joel wanted to share with his students around the world, still exist.  His preparation for these extemporaneous lectures and talks consisted of hours and hours of meditation during the days, weeks and months before class. The words did not have to be planned, but his consciousness had to be atuned to the Infinite Source so that IT could use Joel to deliver the message that Jesus, Buddha, Lao Tzu, and other mystics of the ages have shared with the world.  Joel's spiritual evolution was captured on these tapes;  and if we follow his instructions, we are shown a way to achieve illumination.  

Joel tells us that the complete message of Truth has been given twice before. Once to Buddha and again to Jesus.  Each message today has only the partial truth.  Buddha's contains the half which teaches The Nature of Error, that life is illusion.  Jesus' teaches our true nature as the I am.  Together they form the message of The Infinite Way.  We have, in our time, the complete message through Joel that was once that of Buddha and later of Jesus. The Infinite Way is as holy as scripture and should be treated as such. 

Joel respectfully asked all students and teachers to only use his taped lessons for study so that the consciousness brought forth by him would remain clear for future generations to tap.  He was concerned that followers would try to obscure the principles by adding their own interpretations to his work. Joel was a serious student of religious history and knew that each past revelator had his or her message changed by followers who thought they could add to the original work.  In the case of Jesus, an organized effort completely obscured his message.  Joel knew that he needed to be very clear to his students and teachers. Over and over, he urged his editor, Lorraine Sinkler, to only change punctuation and spelling.  Unfortunately,  it was not to be so and much of the writings after 1965 were rewritten and edited severely. 

Within decades, scores of followers claimed to have words to add to Joel's.  Today, it is difficult to find teachers who follow Joel's directions to only use his original tapes and books as lesson material in class work.  Perhaps, as more students learn what Joel really asked and intended, new teachers will return to his instructions. There is a hunger for this approach and we offer our site as a way for students to make contact with these teachers. Any teacher using Joel exclusively is invited to contact us.

How simple to entertain the following analogy:  If Beethoven had taped his performances and someone wanted to learn to play piano like Beethoven, would you suggest they study with those original recordings or those of his students?  What if a student claimed to play as well or better than Beethoven and offered you their tapes for sale? If you only have limited time and resources, would it not make sense to study the Master rather than the disciple?   Remember this later when you consider  an Infinite Way teacher or practitioner. 

We are not saying that teachers will not comment or guide you in the work.  This is normal and Joel had many teachers (not just the "five" we are told - see https://www.infiniteway.com/post/teachers-the-five).  Some made it, some did not. Some lost the local student body Joel built in 3 months, some in 6. Some were able to maintain a high state of consciousness while he was alive, but fell to temptations after his transition.  We understand, for Joel shared with us that as we progress on the path, we are faced with more and more subtle temptations of Error.  Every spiritual move forward will be counter-balanced with a pull back to material thinking.

The key to consciousness is meditation.  This point cannot be emphasized enough.  Seek Infinite Way meditation and meditators.  If all you get is lecture and dialogue, you are with a metaphysician, not a mystic. Our real instruction comes from Joel and our communion within.

This is a mystical message and the key to spiritual progress is consciousness, not the number years of books and tapes your mind has digested.  Please, please remember this. It is tempting to personalize, for us to love a personality, for that personality to enjoy a following. This is about hard work and taking you to heights and depths you have never imagined.  Healings are secondary and often are mental. (Mind over matter.  We do not care about this method.)

This mystical path is filled with trial after trial.  It is not fun and all "cloud nine."  Over-turning is difficult and painful, but it is the necessary process of spiritual growth.  Find a teacher who will lovingly support and guide you. One who has HAD the experiences you seek.
