First of all, of course, is to find some way to express gratefulness for these two days of celebration we have had, two days of feast together. It is difficult to find words to express gratitude for the spiritual feast that underlies the external feast.

In The Infinite Way we have watched experiences like this, in beautiful expressions of gratitude and love, shown not only to us but to those who have come here from the mainland, England, Australia. And when we have been in London and the continent of Europe, we have witnessed the same gratitude, not only to us, but to the students who have traveled to England and the Continent. Therefore, what I am trying to say or to express is that not only is the gratitude expressed to us, but this same gratitude and love is shown to anyone, anywhere, who comes to The Infinite Way atmosphere. Just what you are expressing to us and to these visitors from overseas, so The Infinite Way students overseas express to us and to those who come from far places.

Behind these outer expressions of love and gratitude and sharing is the relationship that exists between us as Infinite Way students. The relationship that exists between us – this is the heart and core. There are no human ties between us. We belong to nothing and we belong to no one. In The Infinite Way nobody is greater than anyone else, because everyone in this work has problems at times. No one of us has risen to become a God. Therefore, there is no one of us who could set ourselves above others, for none of us have fully attained.

However, whatever our level of spiritual attainment is, it has for its basis our relationship with each other. What is the basis of our relationship? The answer is, our relationship with God. Our conscious oneness with God makes us one with each other.

As I have told you before, for about fifteen years I was the only Infinite Way student in the world. Now what has drawn to me on a worldwide basis such groups as you? There is only one answer: my living and moving and having my being in the Consciousness that “I and the Father are one, and that my oneness with God constitutes my oneness with all spiritual being and idea.” And, because of the truth you who were seeking spiritual light were drawn into the atmosphere of The Infinite Way. Many students worldwide I never could have reached humanly because for years I never moved out of California, and later, Hawaii.

Nevertheless, The Infinite Way drew unto Itself students from all over this globe. This could only be accomplished either by a go-getting organization that went out beating the bushes, or else by staying at home and abiding in the Consciousness of my oneness with God, and by the realization that The Infinite Way was not mine. It was God expressing Itself to this age. If I ever claim The Infinite Way as mine, not only would I lose it, but it might be that even the world would lose it in this generation. No, it is not mine. It was God expressing Itself in the language necessary to this age, and I was fortunate enough to be the instrument that voiced it. There are reasons for that which have to do with past lives, and there are reasons which have to do with this life. As I had no religious training – I was neither Jew nor Gentile, and I was born in New York and went to a public school where there was neither black nor white.

The message of The Infinite Way can never be received by those who continue to have biases, bigotries, and prejudices. A pure message of Godliness, of the Fatherhood of God and the brotherhood of man, can only be received in the Consciousness of those who acknowledge, “Call no man on earth your Father. There is but one Father, who is the creative Principle.”

The world has divided itself up into Jews, Catholics, Protestants, white, black, and yellow – but in the kingdom of God there are no more differences than we find in our gardens. With our violets, roses, papayas, and bananas, we do not hold one as being better than another. No, each is just a different form of God appearing. So, for someone to be not merely an instrument for The Infinite Way, but to be able to live by the principles of The Infinite Way, they must be equally free of prejudice, bigotry and bias so they can look out at this entire world and realize that we are brothers. Only in this way will the “backward” people, people who have been made backward by a society who thinks of them in this way, be given the opportunity of equality and social and economic freedom. There are backward people, but remember it was the “enlightened” people who kept them that way, just as in this age it is the enlightened people who are giving them the opportunity to become free.

But you can see that the relationship between all Infinite Way students is due only to the fact that in some degree we recognize our oneness with God. We are not foolish enough to believe that it is a personal relationship that belongs to you or to me, but that it must be a universal relationship. “God is no respecter of persons or religions.” When we read that Israel is the chosen people of God, remember that by Israel we mean “enlightened Consciousness,” whether it is Jew or Gentile, a white or a Black. The very moment that Consciousness is illumined, it is Israel –or “one with God.” Now carry this a step forward and you will discover that, through your life in The Infinite Way, good comes into your experience, not only in one form but usually in many forms, whether better health, or supply, or improved relationships in the home, or greater opportunities for freedom, and certainly more peace. And as you rehearse in your mind the blessings that have come to you, remember that they have come to you because you have awakened to your relationship with God, to the Source of all good.

Look out at this world from any point and see what God’s Grace has given to this world in the way of oceans, rivers, streams, land and all that has been planted and placed there – the birds in the air, the fish in the sea, the cattle on a thousand hills, the diamonds and rubies and pearls. Look at all this that is on earth through God’s Grace, and realize that it can only become yours by virtue of your relationship with God. If you fail to establish in your consciousness your relationship to oneness with God, you have no right to the blessings that are in this world, because these are God’s given blessings to the children of God. They are only yours by the right of your relationship to your Source, your conscious oneness with God. If you follow this message, you will find yourself healthier, but from whence comes this health? It is only yours by virtue of your oneness with God. “God is the health of my countenance. God is my bread, meat, wine, and water. God is my abiding place – home.” Do you see why you cannot claim any of this humanly? Do you see why so many people have to earn their living by the sweat of their brow? Only because of their ignorance of their relationship to God. God has not demanded any price or effort for that which He has put into this earth. It is all there by Grace.

There is a story to the effect that the reason for the many coconut trees on these islands is that a coconut drifted here from the South Seas and planted itself on the water’s edge, took root and grew. No man planted the first tree on this island. In this work you must occasionally look out and see the God-given beauties that surround us. You must give thought occasionally to the fact that man did not create mathematics – he discovered it. Everything is here by God’s Grace, and they can only be ours by virtue of our relationship with God. But you must see that our relationship with each God constitutes a relationship with each other, because if I am the offspring of God and you are the offspring of God, then we must be brothers and sisters.

Can you not see why there is trouble in the world? The world does not treat each other as brothers and sisters. Do the people who have been negotiating in the newspaper strikes in New York and Cleveland, or the sugar negotiations here, see each other as brothers and sisters? No, they are not viewing themselves as one with God, or each other as one with God.

“Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, what ye shall drink or wherewithal ye shall be clothed.” You find that passage in every one of my writings. Sometimes I wonder if you go not get tired of my repetition of it, but it reveals a great Truth. Why do you need take no thought? Because of your relationship to God. God has done all the thought-taking and his thoughts are not your thoughts, his ways are not your ways. His way is the way of grace, and you cannot come into that grace except by conscious realization of your oneness with your Source. You have to consciously live and move and have your being in God.

There is one more thing you have to do. When you realize your relationship to God, and that you do not have to take anxious thought or fearful thought, and you have attained a consciousness of peace – you have to consciously bestow that peace on all who come into the range of your Consciousness. In other words, while walking on the street or driving a car, there must also be the conscious realization that the peace which you have found will envelop those who surround you, whether in the home or in business or on the highways. If you are not sharing the Consciousness you have found, It remains locked up inside of you and cannot function. You can only get in proportion to your giving. You must “open out a way for the imprisoned splendor to escape.” Therefore, when you consciously realize your relationship to God, look around you several times a day and remember that this is the truth about your neighbor. The fact that he does not know it makes no difference. You must spread the aroma of the atmosphere in which you live. You must forgive by remembering that you are not forgiving but that, through you, God is forgiving.

You do not have to struggle for your life, or your livelihood or for health, if you are abiding in the realization of your relationship to your Source. Often I speak of hidden manna. I think you all know that, to me, the term hidden manna  is a very alive Something. In fact, hidden manna is probably one of the most important and vital realizations in my life. What does it mean? The hidden manna is the Truth I know, the Truth of my relationship with my Source. That is my hidden manna. I can not display it, I cannot tell it to the unillumined, but I can live it. I can live in the constant realization that my good emanates from the Truth I know about my relationship to God. “The earth is the Lord’s and the fullness thereof. Son, thou art ever with me and all that I have is thine.” That is my hidden manna.

It is that which enables me not to look to any person for my good, not to expect it from this person or that person, but to abide in the realization of, “God’s grace is my sufficiency in all things.” I do not have to expect anything from anyone, but I must expect a great deal from myself. I must live up to my highest sense of right. I must recognize that I must meet all the demands made upon me, but I must expect nothing of anyone else. Why? Because I have overcome that part of the world, which is the belief that any man owes me anything for any reason. Their relationship to me makes no difference. Why? Because I have the grace of God. On the other hand, I owe everybody an obligation by virtue of having this hidden manna. I have to share everything that is given me of God. But no man owes me anything because “I and the Father are one and all that the Father hath is mine.” There are no powers in heaven, or on earth, or in hell that can operate against God’s grace. But this is universal, and everyone in the world could experience an infinity of supply, an infinity of health, an infinity of youth, an infinity of vitality if they knew that it is theirs by right of their relationship to God. “Ye shall know the Truth, and the Truth will make you free.” Without the Truth that is your hidden manna, you will not be free. The world cannot see why you are so happy, so healthy, so prosperous, because it cannot see your hidden manna; but those of spiritual discernment will see your hidden manna, and it will come to be their hidden manna.

Do you see why you cannot share this with your friends or your relatives until they have come far enough along the Path to be able to grasp it? None of this raises a question in your thought because you have the inner feeling, “This is Truth. This is what I must live by.” But that would not be true if we went to an auditorium and told it to several thousand people. That is the reason I prefer to talk to these small groups, rather than talk to hundreds who could not hear. I love my smaller classes.

There must be a preparedness to receive Truth. You cannot receive Truth with your mind because, if you could go back five or ten years and sit here and listen to this, it would sound like a wild man’s tale. Yet, to every one of you, this rings true – but that is because of your preparation and previous dedication. At some time you were touched by the Spirit of God for a hunger for Truth. But remember that in proportion as you demonstrate that your good is yours only because of your conscious oneness with God, in that degree are you attracting to you those who sooner or later will be prepared to hear about your hidden manna, your hidden source of supply.

Just think of being heir of God. That is not merely poetry – that is a true relationship. The child is always heir to all the parents have. How did you come into existence if God did not have something to do with it? Could humans produce this body? “Your body is the temple of God. God fashioned your body.” If we are not showing it forth in its beauty and youthfulness, it is because we have taken it away from God and considered our bodies as being human. But our bodies will change in proportion to our understanding of our relationship to God. So will the body of our supply improve. “Not by might nor by power does your good come to you, but through the grace of God, by virtue of your relationship to God. Take no thought, but seek ye the kingdom of God.” Seek more of an understanding of your divine relationship.

Once you catch a glimpse of your relationship to God, you find you cannot withhold. You have to be pouring, sharing, cooperating, and yet – because of the understanding of the nature of your hidden manna – you do not look for any return. And as others come into this atmosphere of God, they also become pourers of good. “I and my Father are one. Thou seeth me thou seeth the Father that sent me, and it is in this oneness that I receive God’s allness. Only in this conscious oneness do I receive the grace of God. Son, all that I have is thine.” The more you believe that others owe you an obligation, the less you are realizing your own hidden manna, your own infinity by virtue of your relationship to a supreme Source. You can really say, “I have overcome the world,” when you can set every human being free.

Suppose something arises tomorrow, indicating that you have a lack of something, something of health, or supply, or companionship or home. The first thought that must come to us is, “I already have it because of my relationship to God,” and this sets us free from desire. You have read in the writings that desire, even right desire, is sin. Why? Because it is based on the belief that it is not already yours. And so you abide in this, “All that I have is thine.” Fear drops away, and in its time it will make its appearance, sometimes in the most astonishing ways.

So you see how this enables you to stop struggling for health and realize that “health is mine because of my relationship to God.” Then stand. Abide in that Word. Eventually this idea that the world is yours, by reason of relationship, will make itself so real to you that from that moment on you will be living in a new universe. You will be living in a whole new atmosphere and altitude of life. It seems to cut you off from everything and everyone out here, from the standpoint of dependency, but it seems to establish a warm bond with everyone. You do not voice it, but by silently knowing, you prepare the way for others to know. Abide with it silently, secretly, sacredly. Let It demonstrate Itself, and then all those who are ready for the spiritual revelation will be drawn to you and you can share it.

You will discover that the kingdom of God is already come upon earth for you as you abide in this hidden manna, this particular secret that “the allness of God is mine by right of my relationship to God.”

Can you not picture Jesus looking up and down the Holy Land, knowing this Truth, and why he could say to Pilate, “Thou couldest have no power over me,” and why he could say, “My words will never pass away.” And can you not see him standing up and looking at Jerusalem and saying, “Oh Jerusalem, Oh Jerusalem, I would put my arms around you, but you would not.” He could be rejoiced and he could be saddened.
